Improve your strokes with Kemptville's competitive (and FUN) swim team. Program runs July and August. Swimmers aged 5 to 16 and able to swim at least one length of the pool using any recognizable stroke are welcome.What is Swim Team?
The Kemptville Bluefins Swim Team is a recreational swimming program held at the Kemptville Pool during the summer months. Swimmers aged 5 to 16 and able to swim at least one length of the pool using any recognizable stroke are welcome. This program provides the opportunity for swimmer to improve their strokes in a fun environment. Practices are held Monday to Friday from 4pm - 5pm with swim meets held on weekends.
Responsibility of Swimmers
It is the swimmer's responsibility to attend practices with appropriate attire (bathing suit, towel, running shoes for dry land training, etc). Swimmers must follow the instructions of the Swim Team Coach and Lifeguards at all times. Swimmers must respect other participants and represent the Kemptville Pool respectfully at regional swim meets.
Parent Volunteers
Parents interested in volunteering to assist the coach during practices and/or at swim meets must submit a criminal reference completed by the Ontario Provincial Police. For information please contact the Recreation Coordinator at 613-258-9569 ext.123 or email thurlbert@northgrenville.on.ca.
A Few Other Notes for Swim Team Members & Parents:
SWIM PASS
Along with signing up for swim team, swimmers will receive a season swim pass at no extra charge. This pass is good for the entire summer at all public and family swims. We encourage our swimmers to make use of this pass both for fun and for extra practice.
