A Year in Review – How Are We Doing?Our Goal is 60%

In 2010 North Grenville generated 5,780 tonnes of solid waste. 1,850 tonnes were diverted through blue box recycling, hazardous waste recycling and back yard composting. As a result in 2010 North Grenville operated at 32% waste diversion.

The average household in North Grenville generates more than 1 tonne of waste each year. Approximately 1,900 tonnes were diverted through blue box recycling, back yard composting, yard waste pick up, hazardous waste recycling and alcoholic beverage container returns.
