Waste Transfer Station

The Oxford Mills Waste Transfer Station was established in June 2007 as a result of having to close our Kemptville Landfill site due to maximum capacity.  The Transfer Station handles only residential, commercial and solid non-hazardous industrial waste.

A solid waste transfer station is simply a facility that receives waste from a community where it is consolidated by transferring it to a larger vehicle for more efficient and economical transport to another waste management facility for disposal or recycling.
