The North Grenville Police Services Board is proud to recognize the youth of our community for achievements in leadership and good citizenry. A semi-annual award has been established by the Board to be presented at the Kemptville Youth Centre to young persons identified as having demonstrated: a positive attitude and respect for others; continuing leadership and support of the Kemptville Youth Centre, and the community at large.
This year, 2017, sees the commencement of the 2017-2019 Ontario Provincial Police Action Plan. This three-year plan articulates organizational direction and ensures consistency in service delivery. The Grenville County OPP Detachment Action Plan is specifically aligned to the Strategic Plan while also responding to unique community safety concerns. This Action Plan communicates our activities and public commitments for the next three years.
This report will serve to update command staff on the events of 2017 within the context of the Grenville County 2017 - 2019 Action Plan. The report will focus on the major policing priorities identified in the Action Plan and report on the progress made toward our targets in these areas.
"Whether it is vulnerable citizens cheated out of their life savings or young people stripped of their assets and forced to start over, the harm caused by all types of fraud is staggering. The money taken is used to fuel other illegal activities, causing further harm to society as a whole."– J.V.N. (Vince) HAWKES, OPP Commissioner
