Paying Property Taxes

Paying your TaxesProperty taxes are the main source of revenue for the Municipality and are based on 3 components:

  1. Your property value, as assessed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC)
  2. The applicable Municipal and County tax rate, as determined by the Municipality and the County based on their budgetary requirements
  3. The education tax rate, as determined by the Province.

If you own property in North Grenville, you will receive a property tax bill twice a year with three due dates: the end of March, June and September.

NEW for 2020 - Due to COVID-19 the payment deadline for the Interim Property Taxes was extended from March 31st to June 30, 2020. The 2020 Final property tax bills were mailed out the first week of June with one due date of September 30th, 2020. Any unpaid previously billed amounts appear on the final tax bill as ‘past due’ and should be paid by June 30th.
