Beginning January 2, 2022, North Grenville will provide an accessible transit service for those with disabilities and those 65 years of age and older. Allegiance Transit Service (ATS) is the contracted service provider.
Anyone who meets at least one of the below criteria is eligible to use the service:
- Anyone who meets the definition of having a disability per the Accessibility for Ontarian with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Seniors 65+
If required, each rider may have a support person ride with them at no cost.
Registering to Use the Service
Those wishing to use the system must register using the form below. You will receive an e-mail or phone call notifying you of your approval to use the service within two business days.

The fare for a one-way trip is $5. Monthly passes are available for $70.
Support people ride for free.
ATS will provide ticket and pass sales to passengers. Payment will be made by cash, electronic fund transfer (eTransfer), or personal cheque made payable to ATS. ATS will not be required to make change but may do so if they wish.
The service operates seven (7) days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The service does not operate on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- Civic Day
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
Users must reserve their trips at least one (1) day in advance and the Operator will use its best efforts to accommodate the trip. However, the Operator shall use its best efforts to accommodate trips upon shorter notice up until one-half hour prior to any pickup, provided passenger capacity and vehicles are available.
Reservations can be made Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Service Levels
Generally, the Operator will endeavor to ensure that no individual passenger shall be ina vehicle more than 30 minutes on a one-way trip.

No vehicle shall be required to wait longer than five minutes to pick up a passengerafter the scheduled pick-up time.
No passenger shall be required to be ready more than 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
No passenger shall be required to wait more than 30 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time.
Riders will be charged for cancellations within 60 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time.
Emergencies such as breakdowns may alter time requirements listed above. However, the Operator shall provide backup units to assist and minimize service disruptions as quickly as possible so as to not inconvenience passengers.
The Operator will provide access for service animals.
The Operator will accept as many reservations as possible consistent with passenger capacity and availability of vehicles.
has adapted vehicles which provide an accessible taxi service for residents in the municipality of North Grenville. It is available to individuals who cannot use conventional vehicles. We serve people who use wheelchairs, walkers or individuals with other physical limitations requiring assisted transport – attendants can travel with client.
