The North Grenville Community Grants Program exists to provide financial support to not-for-profit community associations and organizations for services, projects or events that contribute toward the quality of life of local residents. Financial support from the Municipality recognizes the valuable resources and contributions of these organizations in helping North Grenville maintain a strong community focus.
The Community Grant program is overseen by the Community Grants/Civic Awards Advisory Committee.
Canada 150 Special Intake
In anticipation of Canada’s 150th birthday, North Grenville Council is providing additional one-time funding to the Community Grants Program to fund Canada 150-themed events. The goal is to offer unique opportunities for the community to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial.
“With the on-going success of the annual Canada Day festivities, Council felt that the 150th celebration was an excellent opportunity to provide some additional funding and contribute towards making 2017 a whole year of celebration,” explained Barb Tobin, Deputy Mayor and Council representative on the Community Grants Committee.
To support community groups celebrate Canada’s 150th throughout the anniversary year, the Municipality is inviting applications through an additional and immediate intake to the grant program. The deadline for this round of applications is Thursday, March 9, 2017.
The Community Grants Program annually receives applications in the spring and again in the fall if there are funds remaining.
