Concerning a proposed zoning by-law amendment application for a portion of the Kemptville Campus (application #ZBA-10-19)
The Municipality of North Grenville has contracted Clean Water Works Inc. to rehabilitate the main sewers under some Kemptville streets between September 9 - 19, 2019. Clean Water Works Inc. will use the Cured-in-Place (CIPP) process, a no-dig method of sewer pipe repair. While not much can be seen from the surface, specialized equipment is used to perform the underground work. This sewer rehabilitation technology minimizes all inconveniences usually associated with conventional open cut sewer repairs. During the work, traffic and parking restrictions may be applied in the area. At all times, pedestrian access to the homes and establishments will be preserved. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
After two months of consultation, Council voted Thursday evening (September 5th) to increase what are known as ‘development charges’ on future development in our community. This is so that the Municipality has sufficient funds to invest in crucial infrastructure upgrades as the community grows. Development charges are reviewed every five years, and are subject to strict rules by the Province in terms of how increases are determined.
Our Live, Explore and PLAY brochure provides residents with information regarding municipal recreation programs, other helpful municipal information, and information regarding local sports and special interest organizations.
Committee of Adjustment received an application (A-07-19).
Parks, recreation and culture facilities and services are vital to providing a high quality of life for all residents in our community. To ensure that the Municipality of North Grenville is focused on the highest priorities, we are seeking community input on local needs. The Municipality would like to know how residents use our parks and facilities, as well as how we can improve and expand public spaces, amenities and services in the years and decades to come.
