NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Following the direction from the Provincial government and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, starting March 1st, all North Grenville recreation and event facilities will be open at 100% capacity and will no longer require visitors to show proof of vaccination.

UPDATE Friday, February 25, 2022:  Emterra Environmental is out collecting all waste as fast and as safely as they can. The Tuesday collection that was supposed to be picked up today may be delayed. IF yours is not picked up today - please put back out/leave out until Saturday. Please make sure waste is not in the way of the snow plow path. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Wednesday, February 23, 2022: Please be advised that due to dangerous road conditions, Emterra is pulling the waste collection trucks off the road today (Wednesday, Feb 23) for safety reasons.

Tuesday's collection route will be divided and collected over the next three days.

Thursday: Tuesday Week 1 Recycling & Organics
Friday: Tuesday Week 2 North (pink on map) (Pelton Rd, and North), Recycle, Organics and Waste
Saturday: Tuesday Week 2 SOUTH (orange on map) (south of Pelton Road) Recycling, Organics, and waste

Please note that the Waste Transfer Station is not open on Wednesdays. Hours are Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.

Tree Removal - County Road 43 Road Widening Project

As part of the four-lane widening of County Road 43, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is undertaking tree removal from 200m west of County Road 44 to 220m east of Colonnade Drive in Kemptville.

NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – At tonight’s meeting, Mayor Peckford announced that Council has selected Ms. Debbie Wilson to fill the upcoming Council vacancy. This development is a result of the announcement on February 7th that Deputy Mayor Jim McManaman was re-locating outside of the community on February 24th and would need to resign his Council position as a result.

The Province of Ontario has announced that they will be moving to the next phase of their reopening plan on February 17, 2022 at 12:01 a.m.

NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – North Grenville’s Council has declared February 13, 2022, Wear Red Day for the Municipality of North Grenville.

Wear Red Canada Day is celebrated annually across Canada on February 13th to raise awareness about women's cardiovascular health.
