Municipal Outdoor Recreational Amenities Closed

April 16, 2021

NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Outdoor recreational amenities will be closed effective April 17 at 12:01 am as a result of the additional restrictions announced by the provincial government today.

This includes sports fields, tennis courts and the skate park. Playgrounds will remain open.

“My Council colleagues and I understand this is a challenging and uncertain time, and additional restrictions are not always welcome news, but they are necessary short-term measures to further slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Mayor Nancy Peckford.

The Municipal Trails remain open at this time so long as social distancing is maintained and residents only explore with members of their own household.

“As Mayor, my number one priority is to keep the community safe. The provincial Stay-at Home Order requires everyone to stay home as much as possible. When you leave your home for essentials, follow public health guidelines and protocols,” added Mayor Peckford.
