The Municipality of North Grenville has contracted Clean Water Works Inc. to rehabilitate the main sewers in Old Town Kemptville using the Cured-in-Place (CIPP) process (a no-dig method of sewer pipe repair by lining which consists of inserting a liner into the sewer main to render it structural and watertight). While not much can be seen from the surface, specialized equipment is used to perform the underground work. This sewer rehabilitation technology minimizes all inconveniences usually associated with conventional open cut sewer repairs.
To carry out a sewer rehabilitation by lining, the sewer must first be cleaned in preparation.
Sewer cleaning will take place between Monday May 31st and Thursday June 10th.
The noise created by the cleaning will be a similar level to a lawn mower.
Clean Water Works will return during the weeks of August 23rd and August 30th to complete the relining. The relining will cause a one day interruption to your sewer service between the hours of 7am and 7pm. More details to be provided closer to the date.
Thank you for your co-operation.
