Fall In Love With Maple September 25 and 26, 2021 at the Kemptville Campus - Agroforestry Centre

The first annual Fall In Love With Maple weekend event takes place September 25th and 26th, 2021 at the Kemptville Campus - Agroforestry Centre.

This event, presented by On The Bend Sugar Shack and the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers Association (OMSPA) in partnership with the Kemptville Campus - Agroforestry Centre is part of a 10-day, province wide campaign running September 25 until October 3 by the OMSPA to encourage exploration of and education about Ontario maple sugar operations.

"We are thrilled to see some wonderful groups come together to host this local maple event at Kemptville Campus. We have a unique heritage maple sugar bush right in the heart of our community,and we encourage people to discover or re-embrace the Agroforestry centre at Kemptville Campus, including on site maple production, outdoor trails, a delicious pancake breakfast and fantastic music, said Mayor Nancy Peckford.

Fall in Love with Maple event takes place on Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at 2627 Bedell Road at the Agroforestry Centre on the Kemptville Campus.

Come out and see the evaporator in operation, enjoy the glorious maple colours, live music, and walk the trails with professionally guided forest tours. Maple products produced from the Campus Forest will be available for sale on site during the event.

Pancake Breakfast

A pancake breakfast will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus 5333 to support the local food bank. Cost of the event is by donation. About the Agroforestry Centre

The 18-acre Kemptville Campus sugarbush is part of the larger 360-acre Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC®) certified Kemptville Campus woodlot. On Sunday, September 26th, the maple forest willbe renamed in a dedication ceremony to honour the late Peter Wensink, former Kemptville Campus forester.

The Agroforestry Centre at the Kemptville Campus is a wonderful space to celebrate all things maple with the leadership of Frank Heerkens, local maple syrup producer.
