Community Grants Program Receiving Applications for Canada 150 Community Events

In anticipation of Canada’s 150th birthday, North Grenville Council is providing funding through the Community Grants Program for Canada 150-themed events.  The goal is to support the creation of unique opportunities for the community to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial throughout 2017.

Planning for the annual Canada Day festivities in North Grenville is well underway, and Council felt that the 150th celebration was an excellent opportunity to partner with the community through the grant program and make 2017 a whole year of celebration,” explained Barb Tobin, Deputy Mayor and Council representative on the Community Grants Committee.

To support community groups in celebrating throughout the anniversary year, the Municipality is inviting applications through the Community Grants Program. The deadline for application submission is Thursday, March 9, 2017.

The Community Grants Program annually receives applications for local initiatives in the spring and again in the fall if there are funds remaining. Application forms are available here
