“On behalf of my Council colleagues, we want to wish Mr. Carre every success in his future endeavours, and thank him for his innumerable efforts on behalf of North Grenville,” said Mayor Nancy Peckford.
Council plans to appoint an Acting CAO from the Senior Management Team who will serve in this role for a few weeks.
“Council met with the Senior Management Team earlier today and has confidence in their ability to advance Council’s Work Plan in the months and years ahead,” added Deputy Mayor Jim McManaman.
A search for a permanent Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will commence shortly. Once that search is activated later in November, Council is likely to retain an external Interim CAO until a new person is hired.
As part of the search for a new CAO, Council will be seeking someone who can build on the collaborative leadership approach that has been prioritized in the Council Work Plan.
“As Council, we are so fortunate to serve this great community. We’re excited about fulfilling our commitment to smart and sustainable growth so that North Grenville is always a safe, healthy and cohesive place to live,” highlighted Mayor Peckford.
