You are invited to participate in a Public Open House for the Burritts Rapids Conceptual Design Plan.
The Municipality of North Grenville has retained WSP, a consulting firm, to develop a Conceptual Design Plan for the historic hamlet of Burritts Rapids which will address municipal operations and infrastructure improvements desired within the community, such as drainage, road-way cross-section widths and space designation, parking, and connectivity, with consideration for the community’s heritage contact.
The project was initiated in January 2021. The Draft Conceptual Design Plan has been developed in accordance with a series of design criteria and a design toolkit developed for the project, and based on best practices and the vision for the community. The Draft Conceptual Design Plan has also been informed by input received to date from external agencies and consultations held with the Burritts Rapids Community Association regarding design priorities and options.
The Public Open House will include:
- An online presentation by WSP, to review background work completed and to present the Draft Conceptual Design Plan features and recommendations;
- A Question and Answer period with Municipal Staff and members of the WSP Project Team; and
- The opportunity to review the Draft Conceptual Design Plan display materials and provide comments from Wednesday, September 15 to Thursday, September 30, 2021 in-person at the following location: North Grenville Municipal Centre (285 County Road #44, Kemptville) from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
