NORTH GRENVILLE — Two Kemptville-based businesses were recognized for their innovation and growth potential through the inaugural Leeds Grenville’s Greatest Entrepreneur Competition, celebrating entrepreneurship across the region. On January 28th the competition concluded with a live pitch and gala in Prescott, where finalists presented to a panel of five judges drawn from business and community leadership across the region.

Tempo Drive Music Studio was named the Community Futures Grenville service-area winner, earning $10,000 in cash and more than $10,000 in in-kind business services. The competition, presented by 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation and Community Futures Grenville, brought together 6 finalist from across Leeds and Grenville to compete in a Dragon's Den style pitch.
Founded and operated in Kemptville, Tempo Drive Music Studio provides piano and music instruction for learners of all ages. The funding and business supports will allow the studio to amplify its impact in their new commercial space, significantly expanding capacity and creating a dedicated hub for music education, workshops, and community programming.
Also representing North Grenville, GreenVeil Packaging, based in Kemptville, was named a runner-up in the Community Futures Grenville category and received $1,500 in cash support. GreenVeil focuses on sustainable packaging solutions, contributing to innovation within the growing Greentech space on the Kemptville Campus.
North Grenville’s Economic Development office congratulates both businesses for their achievements and recognizes the important role local entrepreneurs play in driving economic resilience, job creation, and innovation within the municipality.
