Canada Day festivities will be happening in Kemptville at Riverside Park and Oxford Mills’ Maplewood Park! The day is kicking off at 11:00am with a flag raising, music, and vendors plus dazzling fireworks in the evening.
Live Music All Day
Riverside Park: 29 Reuben Cres, Kemptville, ON
Following opening ceremonies at 11am, musicians such as Derek McKinley, Arthur McGregor, and Caitlin Thorne will have your whole family dancing and singing into the afternoon. The evening’s musicians will have you gearing up for the big firework finale! Great sounds coming from Roxy’s Proxy, Ottawa Valley Hall of Famer Jamie McMunn, then rounding out the night with the Canadian Cowboys!
Maplewood Park: 100 County Road 18, Oxford Mills, ON
The day will begin with the Legion Pipe Band and flag raising, with the national anthem being led by local singer and songwriter, Anya Perry. We're excited to welcome local brothers Jacob and Ben Matte, members of The Family Name. The final performance will be by Jessica Pearson and the East Wind, who will have you swaying along with the trees overhead.
Grab some grub
At Riverside Park, start your day off at the Legion and get some delicious breakfast that will have you fueled for the exciting day ahead. From coffee and beer to poutine and Beavertails – there will be all types of Canadian classics coming together to celebrate!
In Maplewood Park, enjoy crepes made by Dial-a-Chef and the Lion’s Club BBQ!
Fun for the whole family
Face-painting (Riverside & Maplewood)
Dreamed of being a mouse, cat, or spiderman? Face-painters will be onsite to make those dreams as close to reality as possible. These creative artists will have you ready to celebrate Canada Day properly in no time!
Inflatables (Riverside)
Have a hoppin’ good time on the bouncy castles or try your luck with inflatable games. The air-centric fun doesn’t have to end there – in fact, you can take it home with you! A balloon artist will be on site to twist and turn a balloon into (almost) anything.
Pool & Splashpad
Don’t forget to pack the swimwear and floaties so you can take a refreshing (and free!) dip in the Kemptville Pool or a quick run through the new splashpad! Accessible parking on site, with roadside parking, and overflow parking on neighbouring streets.
