Ukraine Independence Day Recognition
The Municipality of North Grenville will mark Ukraine Independence Day (August 24) by raising the Ukrainian flag at the Municipal Centre at a ceremony on Monday August 25th, 2025. This gesture of solidarity stems from North Grenville’s twinning agreement in July 2023 with Sokal’, a community of similar size and demographics in Ukraine.
The ceremony takes place at 1:30 PM with remarks from Mayor Peckford and a representative of the Ukrainian community and will also reintroduce the refreshed Ukraine Bike Art installation, including plans for new installations.
