As part of the 2023 North Grenville Capital Budget, rehabilitation of the gravel roadway base is planned for Totem Ranch Road. Work is scheduled to begin during the week of October 3rd, 2023 and will last approximately two weeks.
The Public Works Department will provide a safe and effective travel space for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists while maintaining proper drainage and accessibility to the roadway.
The works which are planned include:
- Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the existing gravel base courses
- Adjustment of the existing drainage ditch (where applicable)
- Remove and reinstall mailboxes in accordance with Canada Post guidelines
Occasionally, this type of construction may results in a slightly elevated roadway compared to that of pre-construction. Where any private access driveway is affected by construction related activity the Municipality will reinstate said driveway to the pre-construction conditions (gravel or asphalt) while also adjusting the driveway slope to be adequate for appropriate vehicle maneuvers. It should be noted that any upgrades which have been made by the owner (interlock, brick, headwalls, electrical etc.) within the municipal right of way will be the sole responsibility of the resident to reinstate.
It is of utmost importance to minimize any disturbances and to respect property boundaries when completing the work. This being said, construction will create some inconvenience for Totem Ranch Road home owners. Residents will continue to have full access, with temporary interruptions, to their property during the construction process.
