NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Mayor Nancy Peckford issued the following statement on Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day:
Every year on the last Sunday of September, the Municipality of North Grenville lowers its flags to honour Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day.
This day provides an opportunity to honour and mourn police and peace officers who have tragically lost their lives while keeping our communities safe.
On behalf of Council, we would like to take the opportunity to recognize the dedication and courage of our local Grenville OPP and our own North Grenville By-Law Officers.
Thank you to all the police and peace officers who put their lives on the line for our community every day.
