First Tapping Ceremony at the Agroforestry Centre

Join Kemptville Campus in partnership with the Indigenous Advisory Circle and the On The Bend maple syrup producers for the ceremonial first maple tree tapping.
Annual tree-tapping ceremonies are held across North America and mark the beginning of the annual harvest of maple sap. Maple sap was traditionally used for food, medicine, and other purposes for several years—many of which we still use today!
Everyone is welcome to join in this ceremony at our Agroforestry Centre (2627 Bedell Road) at 1pm, where you'll enjoy music, insights, and learn about the history of syrup collection!
