Household Hazardous Waste Day

Residents of North Grenville can drop off household hazardous waste free of charge at the North Grenville County Patrol garage, 720 Cty. Rd. 44, Kemptville, south of Kemptville. (If using Google maps, use "Leeds & Grenville County Grg"). Waste will only be accepted from residents of Leeds and Grenville, Gananoque and Prescott.
Examples of Household Hazardous Waste include the following:
- Batteries
- Light bulbs (no ballasts)
- Propane tanks (small & large)
- Antifreeze
- Gas, oil and oil filters
- Driveway sealer
- Stains, paint & paint related products
- Pesticides & fertilizers
- Pharmaceuticals & sharps
- Pool chemicals
- Household cleaning products, i.e., aerosols, bleaches, ammonia, etc.
Not Accepted:
- Ammunition, explosives, flares, electronics, appliances, tires, construction waste, items containing mercury or PCB’s
- Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted.
