St. Michael C.H.S. Music Program is excited to open its doors to the North Grenville Community, as these student Musicians will host the Regimental Band of the Governor General’s Foot Guards for a concert on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.  The GGFG Band will spend the afternoon working with the St. Michael Musicians and then present a FREE joint concert in the school cafeteria, beginning at 7:15pm.  Please join us in sharing the joy of musical excellence!  Doors will open at 7pm for this FREE concert.

The Regimental Band of the Governor General's Foot Guards is proud to serve as Canada's senior reserve infantry unit. For over 150 years, the band has supported military functions and engagements in the National Capital Region, throughout Canada and on international stages. The band is composed of dedicated members including students, teachers, public servants and members serving outside of their trade. The band is under the current direction of Master Warrant Officer Michel Simard and Master Corporal Maribeth Gauthier.
