Build Your Own Bat House Workshop

Bats The Nighttime Heroes of our Ecosystem.png

Bats are an important part of our ecosystem — they help control insects, including mosquitoes, and play a role in keeping our environment balanced. Join us for this unique, hands-on workshop where you’ll build your very own bat house and learn how to support local bat populations.

What’s included:

  • A presentation from the Canadian Wildlife Federation on the environmental importance of bats (factual, science-based).
  • Expert guidance on the proper installation of bat houses.
  • A hands-on assembly session led by the North Grenville Men’s Shed - participants will assemble their own bat house during the workshop with step-by-step instruction.
  • A complete bat house to take home.

What to bring:

  • A power battery drill (essential for assembly)
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to get hands-on!
