The Bridge Street Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) is one of four pumping stations in Kemptville that conveys wastewater directly to the Kemptville Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). In March 2026, the Municipality completed the North Grenville Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan Update (Master Plan) to provide direction for water and wastewater servicing in Kemptville. The Master Plan recommended that the Bridge Street Sewage Pumping Station be upgraded to accommodate existing and future wastewater flows.

The Municipality of North Grenville is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment following the Schedule B process to identify and evaluate alternatives for increasing capacity of Bridge Street SPS. Alternatives may include upgrading the existing facility or constructing a new pumping station, on either the same site or at a different location within the study area.

The study area includes the existing pumping station site located at 3 Bridge Street N (intersection of Bridge Street N and Curry Street) and adjacent municipal property.
