Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, Council, municipal staff, and community members gathered to raise the Childhood Cancer Awareness flag, marking September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The flag is a reminder of the extraordinary strength and resilience shown by children and families affected by this disease.
Childhood cancer is a devastating reality that touches too many lives. This month, we come together to honour those who continue to fight, to remember those we have lost, and to stand united in calling for more research, better treatments, and, one day, a cure.
By raising this flag, we affirm our community’s commitment to supporting children and families facing cancer. Awareness leads to action, and together, we can work toward a future where no child has to bear this burden.
