Mobility Master Plan
The Municipality of North Grenville is updating the 2019 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and the 2019 Commuter Cycling Plan (CCP). This updated document, being referred to as the Mobility Master Plan (MMP), is being developed to:
- Direct municipal policy and infrastructure investments over the next 10-20 years;
- Support growth and development to achieve broader community connectivity goals;
- Provide safe, comfortable and connected active mobility options and integrated choices; and
- Identify opportunities for enhanced sustainable practices and processes to support implementation.
The MMP is being carried out in accordance with phase one and two of the master plan process outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, 2015, 2023, and 2024), which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act. The project was initiated in October 2025 and is anticipated to be completed by September 2026.
Your input is important to us!
Engaging the community is a vital component of the MMP. There are a number of different engagement opportunities available to support your involvement in this project including:
- Interacting with the project webpage (northgrenville.ca/mobilitymasterplan)
- Completing the online Phase 2 survey included on the project page
- Attending the in-person Public Information Centre #2
- Attending the virtual Public Information Centre #2
This second Public Information Centre (PIC) will build on the feedback received during Phase 1. It will be used to share the results of our technical analysis, present specific transportation problem areas identified across the municipality, and gather your feedback on the proposed alternative solutions being considered to address them.
The Public Information Centre (PIC) offers two engagement formats: an in-person open-house session for direct, informal discussion with the project team, and a virtual session featuring a formal presentation followed by a Q&A. We encourage those interested in the study to attend.
