KEMPTVILLE, ON - The Municipality of North Grenville is set to host the massive 2022 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) September 20 – 24, promising upwards of 50,000 to 80,000 visitors over five days. This will be the first in-person IPM since 2019 due to the pandemic.
Mayor Peckford offered the following statement on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II:
On behalf of myself, my Council colleagues, and the Municipality of North Grenville, I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family on the loss of Her Majesty the Queen who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 96.
NORTH GRENVILLE - The Municipality of North Grenville is proceeding with plans to bring new recreation amenities to Riverside Park, including an outdoor rink, splash pad, and an accessible, four season change rooms and washrooms, as well as improved pool house.
The Municipality of North Grenville will be offering free transportation on Monday, October 24, 2022 to provide equal opportunity for those looking to vote in person. There are no eligibility restrictions, anyone can use the bus service.

Local Official Appointed to the 2022-2024 AMO Board of Directors
OTTAWA -- At the Annual Conference of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) in Ottawa, Gary Dyke, Chief Administrative Officer, Municipality of North Grenville was appointed to the AMO Board of Directors as Past Secretary-Treasurer. The Conference was held from August 15 to 17.
NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Earlier today, ParticipACTION announced that North Grenville has been crowned Ontario’s Most Active Community as part of the 2022 Community Better Challenge.
North Grenville residents are invited to participate in a discussion before the Municipality releases its Request For Proposal to request consultants submit proposals to determine the feasibility of a Heritage Conservation District.

NORTH GRENVILLE – North Grenville is completing a study to review potential options for expanded transit within the Municipality of North Grenville. North Grenville residents and business leaders are invited to take part in a virtual community session on July 28 to provide their perspectives and feedback on the future of transit services in North Grenville.
Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will make an Official Visit to the Municipality of North Grenville on Friday, July 22, where she will meet with Her Worship Mayor Nancy Peckford, members of council, and community leaders for a roundtable discussion on the topic of community cohesion. Her Honour will also participate in a flag raising ceremony to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and attend a performance at the Kemptville Live Music Festival. This will be Her Honour’s 91st official civic visit during her term.
NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville recognizes National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, 2022, a day to celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
National Indigenous History Month is recognized annually across Canada in the month of June.
