About Marion Martell
Marion has been involved working with the Community throughout her career. Her focus has been in areas of health, management, business development, sales, coaching, training, communications, and charity work.
In 2007 Marion became involved with fund raising for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and served as co-chair to a charity fund raising event. This was an all female golf charity tournament raising awareness of heart disease in women and raised over $1,000,000 for the Canadian Women' Heart Health Centre( CWHHC) at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Marion herself is a Heart Patient Survivor.
In 2008 Marion was diagnosed with Complete Heart Block requiring a Permanent Pacemaker. Thanks to the Heart Institute and all the staff for their great care. She feels great today.
She is involved with Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance on the Community Presentation Project.
