North Grenville, ON – Last week, the Government of Ontario announced up to $21.8 million in funding to support the expansion of North Grenville’s Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP), a critical investment to meet the needs of North Grenville’s rapidly growing community. The expansion of the plant will ensure that the Municipality can continue to provide essential services for its residents and businesses - as well as to welcome new commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional developments. This includes but is not limited to new schools, a potential hotel, and a prospective provincial correctional facility.

After multiple discussions with Municipal Council and staff that began this past spring to ensure the continued success and sustainability of the Ferguson Forest Centre (FFC), North Grenville’s Municipal Council has approved a $200,000 bridge loan. The loan is being provided during a critical time in the Ferguson Forest’s transformation of its tree nursery. This decision reflects the Municipality’s commitment to supporting crucial community assets while ensuring responsible fiscal oversight.

NORTH GRENVILLE - Today the Government of Canada formally announced a Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) award of up to $5,234,207.00 to the Municipality of North Grenville to deliver up to 671 new homes over the next 3 years.

NORTH GRENVILLE, ONTARIO - Recognizing North Grenville's commitment to data-driven decision-making, the Municipality has received its second consecutive Platinum Certification from the World Council on City Data (WCCD) for implementing ISO 37120 – the first international standard for city data. North Grenville joins a network of over 30 Canadian and 100 municipalities globally within the WCCD network that collect, share and use data to make effective and transformative decisions. This Platinum Certification is the highest level of recognition by the WCCD and underlines the Municipality's commitment to high-calibre, globally standardized and independently verified city data.

NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – The Ministry of Transportation has awarded the North Grenville Road Safety Committee the 2021 Road Safety Achievement Award (category: Collaboration in Road Safety). The award was presented to the Committee on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
