The Municipality of North Grenville has a “pay as you throw” system for garbage, meaning that you need to purchase garbage bag tags.
The cost of a bag tag is applied directly to the cost of collecting and disposing of solid waste. The more you take advantage of the green bin and recycle, the less solid waste you will produce, reducing your bag tag costs.
- Bag tags are $2.75 each and are sold in packets of 8.
- Attach a bag tag to each solid waste bag put out for collection. MAXIMUM 10-bag limit.
- If using a solid waste container, the bag tag must be attached to the first bag under the lid.
- NOTE: The old (pink) bag tags can no longer be used. Please bring them to the Municipal Offices during office hours for a reimbursement.
