News from Rideau Valley Conservation Authority
November 27, 2025 - Seasonal rainfall and cooler temperatures over the past month have resulted in measurable hydrologic recovery across the Rideau Valley watershed. Monitoring data indicates widespread increases in streamflows, baseflows, and groundwater levels.
Take notice that the Corporation of the Municipality of North Grenville will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the North Grenville Municipal Centre (285 County Road 44) to consider the following item: A proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, File # ZBA-11-25, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, as amended, will be considered at that time.
The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) is undertaking the detail design for the pavement rehabilitation on Highway 416, between County Road 43 and Century Road through the Municipality of North Grenville and the City of Ottawa. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. A key map showing the location of the study area is below.
Beginning the week of November 17, the Municipality of North Grenville will be conducting sanitary and storm sewer cleaning. This work will be carried out by Clean Water Works Inc.
